IVF Treatment

Today, the infertility issue that some people face is being given more and more attention. Lifestyles, diets rich in processed foods and harmful ingredients, everyday stress, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and hormonal imbalances are just a few of the factors that can have a bad impact on men's and women's reproductive capabilities. On this article, we reviewed IVF, one of the treatments for infertility. Here is all you need to know…

What is IVF Treatment?

Sperm and eggs are united outside of the body in a laboratory dish as part of the assisted reproduction method known as IVF. One or more fertilized eggs (embryos) may be placed into a woman's uterus, where they can implant and develop in the uterine lining.

Before beginning any treatment, you (and your partner) will undergo a variety of physical examinations and testing, including blood tests, sperm analysis, and ultrasounds. Even after you begin IVF, there are other steps that require trips to clinics and laboratories.

If the initial cycle is successful, you are moving forward. If not, though, you can choose to give it another go with one or more additional cycles. Consult your fertility specialist to determine what is best for your situation. You may be advised to wait a time between cycles.

At Lydia Med, your fertility doctor, who is assisted by a skilled group of nurses, counselors, and scientists, will oversee your treatment. We are aware of how important creating a family is to you and promise to offer you the best possible care.

In Which Situations is IVF Treatment Preferred?

There are many situations where IVF is necessary. Some of those:

  • It is difficult for an egg to fertilize or for an embryo to get to the uterus when the fallopian tube is damaged or blocked.
  • Anovulation is one of the 5–25% of causes of infertility. Ultrasonography (USG) is used to monitor ovulation, and progesterone levels in the serum can be used to determine whether or not a woman is ovulating (on the 19th, 21st and 23rd days of the menstrual cycle). In the USG, there is no ovulation if the egg does not develop or if the repeated progesterone levels are below 3 mg/ml.
  • Low sperm concentration, poor sperm motility, failure to survive after failing to pass through the cervical mucus, or abnormalities in sperm size and shape.
  • IVF for fertility preservation may be a viable option if you are about to begin cancer treatment, such as radiotherapy or chemotherapy that can harm fertility. Because women can extract eggs from their ovaries and preserve them unfertilized for later use in vitro fertilization procedure.
